Abstract

Language acquisition and learning is one of the most important problems that the scientific arena has known, especially linguistic ones. A complex behavior can be explained by the same principles as pigeon behaviour. As for the newcomer, the inaccuracy of behavioral interpretations led him to the fact that there are mental facts behind every behavioral act. It is Chomsky who changed the direction of research on language, as it is a human singularity, and does not resemble communications between other organisms, and raises challenges that continue to this day, and are still waiting for a response. It is completely correct, so resolving the issue of language acquisition remains a complex matter. It is not just the peculiarity of distinguishing animals, but rather an image of the formation of man as a human being.

This article explores the importance of language and questions of its acquisition, reveals the shortcomings in the behavioral theory, and the criticisms upon which the generative transformational theory based its “innate” theory of language acquisition, and aims to define the mental foundations that I drew from, and the general principles I presented in order to justify going beyond the limits of description to the vastness interpretation of this theory. Here lies the importance of this theory, which is a point of intersection between linguistics, psychology and other sciences, and the descriptive approach was the method used in order to obtain accurate results.
