The current study aimed to determine the level of mental alertness among secondary school students, and to identify differences in the level of mental alertness due to variables (sex specialization, and school level), and to achieve the objectives of the study was used the measure of mental alertness prepared by the researcher "Ahlam Mahdi Abdullah", and after recalculating the sequometry characteristics of the scale in the survey applied to a sample of (200) pupils which were randomly withdrawn from The Arab Ben Mastura High School in Tiaret, and was
relied upon The descriptive approach to suit the nature of the subject after statistically processing the data using the t-test of one group and two independent groups, the analysis of mono contrast and the test of remote comparisons, it was found that secondary school pupils enjoy a high level of mental alertness, there are differences in mental alertness attributable to the sex change for females, differences between scientific disciplines and literary disciplines in mental alertness in favor of scientific disciplines, and finally the existence of statistically significant differences in mental alertness attributable to the variable level of the level Study in favor of the third level, and in the end we concluded our research with a set of recommendations.
