Abstract

Psychological hardness is one of the most important positive features in the human personality that contributes to achieving the best presence of individuals in general and the disabled in particular, so the current study aimed to identify the degree of availability of psychological hardness among a sample of physically disabled people in the Wilayat of M’sila, as well as to identify the impact of  variables Gender and age on the degree of availability of psychological hardness for them, where the researcher used the descriptive approach, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher applied the measure of psychological hardness originally prepared by the researcher (Mkhaimer, 2002), and codified it on the Algerian environment, (Bashir Maamaria, 2011), on a sample consisting of (82) physically handicapped, by (46) males, and (36) females, with an average age of (23.5 years), and the results of the study resulted in the availability of a high degree of psychological hardness among the study sample, and also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the degrees of Availability of psychological hardness due to the variable of sex, while there were statistically significant differences in the degrees of availability of psychological hardness among the study sample due to the variable of age and in favor of the oldest. And in light of the results obtained, the study included some recommendations, the most important of which is the preparation of counseling programs to develop Any positive variables that alleviate the suffering of people with disabilities
