The level of practicing teaching competencies by natural science and life teachers in middle schools in light of reforms of the second generation of curricula

The current study aimed to identify the level of practice of teachers of natural and sciences in the intermediate stage of teaching competencies in light of the application of the reforms of teachers of the second generation curricula and knowing the differences between the averages of the responses of members of study sample according to the variables: gender, institution of training and experience, To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the descriptive analytical approach by distributing a questionnaire prepared for this purpose consisting of (46) items distributed on four dimensions: (competencies: planning, implementation, evaluation, class management and class interaction), After confirming the validity of the questionnaire by presenting it to a group of specialized arbitrators (professors and inspectors) and reaching its efficieny with Cronbach’s alpha equation (0.91) It was distributed to the study sample, consisted of 42 teachers teaching in the Wilayat of Touggourt, were chosen randomly. The study reached the following results:
-The level of practice of teaching competencies by teachers of natural sciences at the intermediate stage is generally high.- The level of the study sample’s practice of lesson planning competencies is high, lesson implementation competencies classroom management competencies are medium, and assessment competencies are low.- There are no statistically significant differences in the degree of the study sample members of practice teaching competencies according to the study variables, due to the fact that the study sample does not possess the same knowledge and skills in dealing with the new curricula.
