The Role of the University Environment at Jouf University in Enhancing the National Character among Students from the faculty members` Perspective

This study aimed to identify the role of university environment at Jouf University in enhancing the citizenship among students from the point of view of the faculty members, and to reveal the main challenges facing the university to play its role in enhancing the citizenship among students. The study followed the descriptive survey method. The sample of the study consisted of (282) faculty members at Jouf University. The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool to collect data from the study sample. The results showed that the role of Jouf University in enhancing the citizenship among its students from the point of view of the faculty members was moderate. And the main challenges facing the university in enhancing citizenship among students were the impact of globalization and the resulting spread of exotic cultures. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the role of Jouf University in enhancing the citizenship among students due to the variables (sex and academic rank), and the existence of differences according to the (specialization). The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the members on the challenges facing the university to play its role in enhancing the citizenship among students according to the study variables (gender, academic rank, and specialization).
