Family upbringing is one of the institutions of social upbringing, and its vital field, in which the personality of the individual is formed from his childhood, and the cornerstone in preparing young people and the basis of his morals, values and experience, and even his scientific and professional qualifications, and the family is the first environment in which his language skills are refined and helps him in the optimal acquisition of language that facilitate his proper integration into his social environment. We aim through this article to highlight the role of family upbringing in the child’s language acquisition through the various methods it follows, which differ from one family to another and from one society to another, as well as highlighting the most important factors that can prevent the family from performing this function. Through the theoretical study of this subject, it was found that the family’s adoption of the balanced method in raising the child allows him to enrich his linguistic acquisitions both quantitatively and qualitatively. The higher the social, cultural and economic level of the family, the greater the child's linguistic acquisitions, especially in terms of the nature of the words used, so their linguistic balance is rich and varied.
