Abstract

Criminal provisions are the product of the work of the justice system; they are a means of applying the law. When issuing judgments and criminal decisions, the judge refers to the legislative provision concerning the criminal incident. Based on an important principle the consecration of state sovereignty over its territory—judicial rules are applicable to the national territory. However, in light of current developments, particularly the emergence and growth of transnational organized crime, and the growing awareness among members of the international community of the duty to cooperate in combating this creeping threat that jeopardizes the very existence of states, the question of the enforcement of foreign judgments as one of the most important means of cooperation between countries arises.
