Abstract

Compensation for the expropriation of private property for public utility is one of the most important guarantees afforded to the right holder in the face of the administration’s power to expropriate real estate and private real rights. The owner may obtain compensation if the legal conditions for entitlement are met—this is known as administrative compensation. If the owner does not accept the amount of compensation, they may bring an action before the administrative judge to request a reassessment of the compensation granted by the administration.
