Abstract

In order to address the situation of private real estate, the Algerian legislature has found some important new solutions that bring about changes in the legal nature of real estate. Given the various problems caused by the application of the affidavit of notoriety since 1983, the Algerian legislature had to create a new legal system to regulate the legal status of land through Law No. 07-02. This law introduced the procedure for establishing and issuing property titles based on a land survey. One of the main innovations created by this law, designed to guarantee the rights of third parties, is the right to object to and file complaints against the results of the survey. It also grants the surveyor the prerogative to conduct a conciliation session between the parties.
