Emergence of Overlapping Jurisdictions Between the Competition Council and Sectoral Regulatory Authorities

The multiplicity of independent administrative authorities regulating economic activity has led to an overlap in jurisdiction among them. This is clearly evident in the relationship between the Competition Council, which has general jurisdiction over regulating competition in the market, and the other sectoral authorities that also have jurisdiction over regulating competition in the sectors they supervise.
