Electronic Pollution: Prevention and Protection Mechanisms and the Transition to Clean Technology
Keywords:

Electronic pollution produces devastating effects, and its repercussions reach the highest degree of danger for human beings and their surrounding environment. The question therefore arises as to the appropriate means of protection: should it be legislative, technological, behavioral, or entail abstaining from the use of modern technological products—or a combination of all these approaches? In this context, the safe disposal of electronic waste from electrical devices—particularly computers and televisions—is strongly recommended through the recycling of their components. Concerted efforts are required at both the individual and collective levels, as well as at the level of local governments and the international community, in order to effectively manage such waste and ensure its disposal with the least possible harm.
