Journal of Legal Studies and Researches (JLSR) is a distinguished international, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the LSRLFAD Laboratory (Laboratory of Studies and Research in Law, Family and Administrative Development), University of Msila, Algeria. Issued biannually, the journal welcomes scholarly submissions exclusively in Arabic, English, and French.

JLSR is dedicated to the publication of original and high-quality research in the fields of law, the family, administrative development, Security Research, Political Science and International Relations, Public Administration, Sharia and Law; and Administrative Sciences. The journal aims to serve as a reputable academic forum for scientific exchange and the dissemination of innovative research in law and legal studies and the fields previously mentioned.

Call for Reviewers

JLSR is presently inviting qualified academics and researchers to join its international panel of reviewers and contribute to the preservation of the journal’s rigorous scholarly and scientific standards.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants are expected to satisfy at least one of the following criteria:

  • Possession of a PhD in a relevant academic discipline
  • A record of prior research publications in law, the family, administrative development, Security Research, Political Science and International Relations, Public Administration, Sharia and Law; and Administrative Sciences, or related areas.
  • Previous experience in peer review and/or academic research

Reviewer Duties and Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Conduct objective, impartial, and confidential evaluations of assigned manuscripts
  • Provide clear, constructive, and scholarly comments and recommendations
  • Recommend improvements concerning methodology, theoretical framework, academic writing, referencing, and originality
  • Complete manuscript evaluations within the specified review period
  • Report any ethical concerns, including plagiarism, duplicate submission, or issues related to data integrity

Review Duration

  • Reviewers are generally granted a period of two to four weeks to complete the evaluation of a manuscript.
  • Should additional time be required, reviewers may formally request an extension.
  • All review reports and recommendations must be submitted directly through the ASJP platform.

Platform Information

JLSR utilizes the Algerian Scientific Journal Platform (ASJP) for manuscript submission, reviewer assignment, and the peer-review process.

  • Applicants who do not already possess an ASJP account will have one automatically created by the system, and their login credentials will be sent accordingly.
  • Applicants who already maintain an ASJP account may continue using their existing credentials.

The platform permits users to function simultaneously as authors, reviewers, and editors under a single account.

Double-Blind Peer Review Policy

JLSR adheres to a strict double-blind peer-review process, whereby the identities of both authors and reviewers remain concealed throughout the review process to ensure fairness, transparency, and impartial academic assessment.

Ethical Guidelines

All reviewers are expected to comply with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers when assessing submissions to JLSR.
