The present study attempts to explore the manifestations of employing Cultural Heritage in
WacinyLaredj’sThe Prince. It highlights the close relationship between heritage as a material
and the novel as an art. Hence, the study shows the importance of visiting the past in order to
delve into its books which are characterized glorifying history, and trying to create a local
narrative identity that would decrease his cultural alienation. Relying on his wide knowledge
about local Arabic cultural heritage and his mastery of modern narrative techniques.
