Abstract

In recent times, the legend has formed a main phenomenon in the literary field, poetry and prose, so poets have invoked it in their works, because the stronger the mythical aspect and fabled, the more the characters appear charming and interesting to the reader, hence the original story becomes a field for creating more stories. One of the legends associated with this magical world in the Arab world is perhaps the legend of Scheherazade in the stories of the Thousand and One Nights, which found great presence in the imagination of writers as one of the greatest monuments that the popular collective the memory has told. In this study, we will try to highlight the manifestation of the legend of Scheherazade in the models of an Algerian novel, and to show the most important relations and intellectual dimensions that link this legend to the narrative texts in which it has been employed.
