The descriptive approach in Siboué's book in the light of modern linguistics

Abstract

The research deals with the subject of the descriptive approach in Sibawayh's ELKITAB in the light of modern linguistics, in an effort to prove the scientificity of Sibawayh's linguistic lesson by showing his interest in the descriptive method, an attempt to draw up an approach between Sibawayh's approach in his book, and modern linguistics, and it became clear to us that the linguistic lesson in Sibawayh's book is based on the descriptive approach, and that all the foundations and conditions of the descriptive study are present in the book, which makes Sibawayh's linguistic study a solid scientific lesson. Arabic in general in relation to modern linguistics, starting from Sibawayh’s book.
