Abstract

  What What the mirage owes to YasminaKhadra's oasis is a tale that shows man's relationship to his universe. The author seeks to discover the interiority of the individual based on existential and aesthetic reflection. The narrator lends the voice of the Desert and letting the echo of his reflection resonate through fantastic dialogue and tales from memory. This fusion of real and imaginary worlds eclipses the unity of gender and diverts it towards the transgeneric. The story follows the voice of the narrator in search of resilience and in the face of his destiny upset by the change of places and vocations. In What the mirage owes to the oasis, the author offers a new reflection on the writing of the ego, which is blurred by the transposition of varied and diverse aesthetic discourses. How does YasminaKhadra’s retrospective story look in terms of a multiplication of genres and texts? YasminaKhadra's text thus swings between prose and poetry and literary expression takes refuge behind the artistic expression of painting and calligraphy. This research paper aims to demonstrate the aesthetic and poetic links that the writing of the ego maintains as a function of the narrative disorders between the different aesthetic discourses. The dissolution of YasminaKhadra's retrospective narrative is committed to reconstituting the unity of life and work.
