Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the nature of the relationship between psychological compatibility and motivation for the visually handicapped, as well as identifying the level of each psychological compatibility and the motivation for success in this category, in addition to detecting differences in study variables according to gender. To investigate these objectives of a measure of psychological compatibility by MAHMOUD ATTIA (1986), and a measure of academic success motivating KAMAL MUSTAFA HAZIN.

After confirming the psychometric properties of the stud/y tools, was applied to a sample of (35) visually handicapped students, randomly selected from schools for the visually handicapped in M'sila on 2019/2020. The results of the study as follows:

1- The level of psychological compatibility is high in the visually handicapped.

2- The level of motivation for achievement is average for the visually handicapped.

3- There are no statistically significant differences in the study variables between the two sexes.

So, the general result: There is a statistically significant correlation between psychological compatibility and motivation to succeed in the visually handicapped. Therefore, consideration must be taken into account the being and independence of the blind student as the focus of the work and not subject to all the standard standards of the equals, but rather living and accepting his differences while giving him every opportunity to highlight his abilities and skills in order to build positive representation for his academic future. In addition to cooperating with faculty members in universities and all educational institutions and specialists to give training courses on psychological compatibility and motivation of academic achievement, and to take the courses as continuity and serious follow-up.
