Early maladaptive schemes in drug addicts

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the most prevalent early non-adaptive schemes among drug addicts, and also aimed to identify the differences in early schemes that are not adaptive in the same sample according to the gender variable, and age, and to achieve this, the study was conducted on a sample of (55) addicts and addicts were selected intentionally (snowball sample) applied to them the scale of early non-adaptive schemes for Jeffrey Young (YSQ- S1), which consists of (75) items, and in order to statistical preview the data The researchers relied on the program After statistical processing, the results of the study concluded that the most widespread schemes were as follows: Plan 13 (strict criteria / excessive criticism), then Plan 14 (excess entitlement/ transcendence), then Plan 03 (Doubt / Assault), followed by Plan 11 (Self-Sacrifice), Plan 04 (Social Isolation/ Alienation), in addition to Plan 15 (Lack of Self-Control/ Self-Control), Plan 02 (Abandonment / Instability), then Plan 08 (Susceptibility to harm or disease), up to scheme 01 (emotional deprivation), The remaining schemes, which include Plan 5 (Deficiency/Shame), Plan 6 (Failure), Plan 7 (Reliability), Scheme 9 (Integration/Self-Immaturity Relationships), Scheme 10 (Submission), and Plan 12 (Inhibition), are less prevalent among drug addicts compared to previous schemes, and the results of the study found that there were no differences in early unadaptive schemes among drug addicts attributed to gender and age variables.
