: Abstract It is obvious that the omission procedure has its place in Arabic rhetoric, but it is rather considered as an aspect of Arabic discourse linked to the domain of grammar, rhetoric, stylistics and pragmatics, because it carries with it many meanings as well as aims so much coveted by the soul because man by nature always tends to avoid boredom and weariness. And the Arabs, in essence, attached great importance to the procedure of omission in the sacred text in two forms: The first concerns the verbal and syntactic omission, while the second relates to the semantic omission which will take a large part of our study. The latter calls on the addressee to implement his idea to understand the verse without of course neglecting the general context of the verses as a sine qua non condition for achieving the understanding and meaning of the verses, and that is the rhetoric of speech for the Arab individual.
