TheIrony is an effective tool in the hands of the creative person, who uses it to expose, reveal, and uncover truths in a way that elicits a smile, reflecting both irony and mockery. Al-Bashir Al-Ibrahimi's "Al-Azima" maqama is rich with sarcasm, but it's of a special kind, as it relies on diverse elements that make it funny in its unique way. It stems from exaggeration, strangeness of its sections, clever mockery of various aspects of life, and diverse cultural references.
The linguistic formation notably exhibited playfulness and broke from tradition, fostering a unique linguistic and expressive individuality. This is seen in the disruption of language structure and names. It's aironie relying on paradox and astonishment over directness to expose French authority's contemptibility via the elusive messenger "Al-Ifrit." This metaphor is a key hallmark of the sarcasm.
