Abstract

Western critics became increasingly interested in folklore, folklore, and mythology, and some of
them were able to establish methodological principles for analyzing the tale and legend. The
global folk exploits became an empirical field prepared for applying analysis methods to
popular texts, poetry, proverb, riddle and tale;At a time when some Arab critics abstained
from the Western curriculum in reading popular literature, claiming to distort Arab culture
and distort its image, other critics, such as Abdel Malik Murtad and Abdel Hamid Bourayo,
worked ceaselessly on the balanced use of contemporary approaches to serve the popular
text. The first had a long experience in dealing with Algerian folk proverbs and riddles
according to distinct systemic applications, and the second contributed to understanding
Algerian popular culture and analyzing its narratives
