Themes of the Psychological dimension in the Algerian Novel: “The Nights of Polar Wolves” as an Example

Abstract

This paper is included within the field of critical approaches to literary texts. It looks for the themes of the psychological dimension in a modern contemporary Algerian novel, namely, “The Nights of Polar Wolves” written by Mustapha Ould Youcef. Our study is based on the mechanisms and procedures resulting from the thematic approach. Each novel usually contains different topics or themes which may be social, political, religious themes… However, this paper deals with the psychological theme as it is the predominant one in the chosen novel
