The concept of competence has been subject to various influences that have different characteristics and attractiveness in different fields according to multiple approaches. This research paper aims to distinguish in the concept of competence between what is related to education and what has nothing to do with it through quick contact with the perceptions of linguists, psychologists, and specialists in labor sciences and pedagogists, and the research concluded that competence is not achieved of any kind except through the possession of cognitive skills. Therefore, designers of educational programs in the pedagogy of teaching must bet on competencies on developing these skills and developing them according to a deep vision
