Abstract

his research paper examines the interpretative approach of the Algerian critic Abd-el-Kader Fidhouh as presented in his book Intellectual and Aesthetic Values in the Poetry of Tarafa ibn al-Abd. In this work, Fidhouh explores the "Ruins Phenomenon," viewing it as a central existential theme that embodies the Arab world’s distinctive identity, in its connection to the universe, and its perspective on humanity and life. The study highlights Fidhouh’s interpretative methodology, focusing on its strategic and methodological underpinnings while positioning it as a significant contribution to contemporary Arab literary criticism.
