This study aimed to learn the reality of the digital environment response in the process of complementary formation for first-year PhD students at Mohamed Boudiaf University. On the basis of the exploratory curriculum, a sample of first-year PhD students was interviewed at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Mohammed Boudiaf University. and the results of the study found a diversity in the use of digital tools in the delivery of digital educational content, Digital teaching methods made it possible to interact very limited with colleagues and professors However, some aspects do not meet a student's actual formative needs. As for the challenges they face through the digital environment during the supplementary configuration process, there is a lack of a composition staff of sufficient size and efficiency to cover digital education requirements and poor Internet flow, which hampers the possibility of attending teleconferences and meetings. The use of the digital environment was assessed during the first complementary training process for students, which was a good experience. The study therefore recommends that the contents of some digital materials programmed in the supplementary composition process be reviewed so as to meet the actual needs of first-year PhD students and creating social media platforms or virtual sessions to encourage interaction and build a digital learning community, as well as providing training courses for students and professors on how to properly use the digital environment by technology professionals.
