Abstract

With Algeria following the policy of economic openness and the consequent necessity of liberalizing trade from monopoly and giving freedom to practice the latter and compete in it, it has become the duty of the Algerian state to intervene in order to protect the new economic life and what it requires in terms of the existence of new mechanisms that guarantee the practice of trade within fair competition on the one hand, and the protection of consumers in the market on the other hand, which is what the Algerian legislator has followed, and among the manifestations of its intervention in this area is the prohibition of some commercial advertisements that are harmful to economic agents and consumers, and this is what made these advertisements the subject of our study through specifically stating their types and the penalties that the Algerian legislator has set for them.
