Abstract

Dams in Algeria are among the most important water infrastructures, aiming to address climat change, ensure water security, and support sustainable development through the establishment of a digitalization unit for dams and water barriers. However, these structures are not merely facilities; they are closely linked to environmental determinants. This necessitates comparing alternative geographies to understand the balance between human needs and natural ecological systems, as well as integrating environmental, social, and economic factors to establish a sustainable development model aligned with scientific standards and consistent withlocal climatic and geographical conditions.
