The world today lives in an era of remarkable progress and outstanding achievements in various social, economic, political, and military fields. This is due to several factors, including historical and technological ones, among many others. This has generated a kind of competition among nations in all areas to achieve or maintain leadership. Countries strive in various fields, especially the developed ones, to prove their worth and standing among nations. One of the most distinctive aspects of this competition is the field of management. This science has undergone numerous stages to reach its current state, employing all means and technologies to advance it. Management means directing all efforts to achieve a common goal or a set of goals. In this discussion, we will address management in general, then focus specifically on sports management, which is our area of ​​expertise and research. Management science, in general, is not a recent phenomenon; rather, it is the product of several generations of accumulated human knowledge and continues to advance and develop. It has become one of the fundamental criteria used to determine the success or failure of national and governmental projects, and a decisive measure of a nation's capabilities and leadership among nations. Sports management is the foundation of progress in all human activities, whether economic, political, or social. Without it, the progress our world enjoys today would have been difficult to achieve. Sports is one of the human activities that has advanced and diversified as a result of increasing interest. During this expansion, it became necessary to adhere to a scientific framework in its organization, thus making management the basis for all success in it. The progress of countries in sports reflects the extent of their advancement in using modern sports management in all their sporting activities. Thanks to this science, countries that did not have a long history or significant achievements have become leaders and are well-known among nations, gaining the trust and respect of peoples through their remarkable successes in this field. This has had a positive impact on other areas such as the economy and politics. It is no secret that some countries, barely visible on the map, have risen to become pivotal states in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf region. In this topic entitled: Difficulties in applying modern sports management concepts in Algeria from the perspective of the executives and employees of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, we will try to study the difficulties that workers in this field face in applying, adopting and working with these concepts at the level of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
