Abstract

This study aimed to measure the performance level of professional football players in the first and second divisions after exposure to media pressure. We focused on specialized sports print journalism, a component of mainstream media, by: understanding the professional player's performance and its relationship to the emotions resulting from media pressure, specifically that exerted by specialized sports print journalism; and identifying the anxiety caused by this media pressure and its impact on the professional football player's performance.
