This study aimed to measure the performance level of professional football players in the first and second divisions after exposure to media pressure. We focused on specialized sports print journalism, a component of mainstream media, by: understanding the professional player's performance and its relationship to the emotions resulting from media pressure, specifically that exerted by specialized sports print journalism; and identifying the anxiety caused by this media pressure and its impact on the professional football player's performance.
