The research deals with Faleh Abdul-Jabbar’s book “ The Turban and The Secular ” , stating his thoughts comparatively with Ali al-Wardi’s thoughts concerning the theme of the turban ( clerks ) and secular as patterns of thinking and culture . The similarity between them in this theme doesn’t mean they are similar in contents and thoughts . That what was not said by Abdul-Jabbar on the difference in the way of thinking between the turban and secular , was said in details by Al-wardi in his writings . Although Al-Wardi didn’t write a book in this respect , most of his writing dealt the theme with discussion , analysis and criticism . Al-Wardi concentrated on the conflict between the clergy , jurists and turbaned from one hand and the seculars and intellectuals from the other hand . There is no doubt , Abdul-Jabbar observed Al-wardi’s writings on the religious and political conflict between clerks (turbaned) and seculars , and deep-rooted conflict between the clerks themselves , Shiites and Sunnites . Abdul-Jabbar benefited from and traced Al-Wardi’s writings and thoughts in his woks , especially in “ The Turban and The Secular” . That what we observed by reading his writings , concluding his benefit from Al-Wardi’s writings and thoughts in this concern
