Abstract

This research is to study the issue of divorce in the city of Baghdad, its types and causes. Divorce starts from a very important process, which is marriage, which is a factor in building society, while divorce is considered a demolishing factor for society, as it leads to the disintegration of the family and the dissolution of marital relations.

It has been accompanied by the development of societies in the development of marriage systems, which have been brought about by social, cultural and economic changes, including factors that have negatively affected family construction, in which ideas collide between spouses, different attitudes and problems that affect negatively in society in terms of construction and function. Marital and family differences may lead the family to a dead end, the exit from which is only divorce.

Therefore, the research pays into several goals, including: analyzing the various causes of the divorce process, eventually reaching a number of conclusions and recommendations in an attempt to reduce the phenomenon of divorce.
