Abstract

The investigation into the beginnings of rationalism among Greek philosophers, and how to free oneself from imaginative interpretations of myths, and establish new knowledge by resorting to reason and its abilities to perceive facts, has posed a challenge or a tendency against that naive and mythical knowledge and questioning of inherited narratives, especially with the efforts of both Plato and Aristotle, which formed the first ground for liberating the mind from the illusion of superstition, and establishing rational contemplations as a source of knowledge. This is what we will demonstrate through this research, and through clarifying the contributions of Greek philosophers in establishing a solid foundation for rational thinking.
