This study aims to define the consumer price index and its uses and to show the relationship between it and monetary policy tools through exposure to the Algerian situation during the period (1995-2020), where a special methodology was used from the ARDL, which is bootstrapping ARDL.
We found that there is a direct long-term relationship between the consumer price index and the monetary mass, which are the activated tools among other tools, compared to the inactive interest rate in the process of curbing inflation in Algeria.
