Accounting for Underwriting Processes in Insurance Contracts Study in National Insurance Company Agency 1708 in Khemis Miliana

The aim of this study is to illuminate the accounting processes involved in the insurance sector, with a focus on providing a detailed and accurate perspective on the accounting for underwriting processes related to various insurance contracts within National Insurance Companies. The study is carried out according to Notice No. 89, which was issued on March 10, 2011, as well as specifying the characteristics of each contract. To meet these goals, a study was conducted at the National Insurance Company's agency in Khemis Miliana. The study reveals that the accounting standards outlined in Notice No. 89 are being implemented. Additionally, the aforementioned notice is responsive to the needs and requirements of the sector. Moreover, the study highlights differences between the elements that make up insurance premiums, especially with regard to specific fees and contributions levied on particular contracts. In view of the study, there is a need to revise or issue legal provisions that include the missing aspects of accounting, in order to prevent discrepancies in implementing the accounting system for this sector
