Abstract

The study aims to clarify the accounting methods and techniques for compiling accounts for groups of firms, whether under the international reference, represented by the International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS), or the local reference in Algeria, represented by the financial accounting system, and an attempt to apply that to the BCR complex.

The study found that compiling the accounts gives an image of the group of units within the complex as if it were a single entity whose branches the parent institution exercises control over. As for the financial accounting system, it did not develop the techniques and methods of compilation compared to what is in the standards by virtue of not reviewing and evaluating it because it was derived from the standards issued in 2004, which is what was reached in the BCR Foundation, which works with accounting methods that were modified in the later standards.
