Abstract
This study aims at identifying the logical argumentative mechanisms though the Quranic discourse in Surat " ."يسAnd since the human mind has always aspired to the argument, the proof and the evidence , the Quranic discourse in Surah " "يسcomes as an argumentative speech in line with the nature of mankind and his desire to be convinced of what is presented to him. Thus the argumentative discourse of this Surah is primarily directed at influencing the listener by getting him or her convinced of the arguments, evidences and profs that it holds. The argumentative methods vary in the discourse of this Sourah in accordance with the variety of its issues such that these methods vary from logical into stylistic to deliberative ones. Our study is limited to the logical mechanisms mentioned in the discourse of Surah " يس"
