About the Journal: Annals of Letters and Languages

Overview

Annals of Letters and Languages is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access scientific journal established in 2013. Published by the Faculty of Arts and Languages at the University of Mohamed Boudiaf - M'sila, Algeria, the journal serves as a prestigious academic forum dedicated to the advancement of research in the fields of literature, linguistics, and arts.

Aims and Scope

The journal aims to achieve high scientific professionalism by providing a platform for researchers from both national and international academic communities. We publish original research in Arabic, English, and French within the following disciplines:

  • Literature: Local and international literary studies, comparative literature, and criticism.

  • Linguistics: Applied linguistics, language teaching (didactics), and discourse analysis.

  • Arts: Visual arts, performing arts, and aesthetic studies.

International Presence

The journal is supported by an International Scientific Advisory Committee and a specialized reading committee consisting of esteemed professors from various global universities, including Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sudan, and Belgium. Our mission is to continuously expand our geographical reach and academic impact through global scientific collaboration.

Originality and Peer Review

To maintain the highest standards of scholarship, all submissions undergo a Double-Blind Peer Review process. We prioritize "Originality," which we define through:

  1. Innovative Interpretation: Providing new perspectives on established ideas.

  2. Empirical Evidence: Confirming or challenging existing problems with new data.

  3. Methodological Exploration: Applying new methodologies to known issues or cross-disciplinary techniques.

  4. Novel Knowledge: Introducing theories or discoveries that have not been previously presented.

Publication Frequency

The journal is issued bi-annually, with regular issues published in April and November. Special issues dedicated to specific scientific events or thematic topics may be published when necessary.

Open Access and Licensing

In support of the global exchange of knowledge, the journal provides immediate open access to its content. All articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This allows users to share and adapt the work, provided the original authors and source are properly cited.
