The relation between level of cohesion and the psychosocial factors that characterize the psychological climate within the feminine sports teams of basketball in Algeria

Cohesion represents the most studied psychological phenomena on within sports groups. The researches undertaken on teams have enumerated the existence of numerous variables connected to cohesion, such as characteristics of the group and its members, as well as stressing situations, the objective of present research is to propose a relation between cohesion and these two psychosocial variables namely motivation and interpersonal relations within the feminine sports teams of basketball in Algeria.
The chosen population to achieve this study consists of five Algerian teams of feminine basketball belonging of the first division, representing in 65 women players, were the subject of psychological tests, to measure three variables of this study.
To answer the hypotheses, Pearson coefficient was useful for us to measure and indicate the direction of the relation between cohesion and motivation, and concerning the relation cohesion - interpersonal relation, we used the qualifying analysis.
To conclude, the hypotheses were validated. The results of the tests measuring the three variables of this study have confirmed a significant correlation between the variables, which has led following results:
- The feminine teams of basketball in Algeria belonging of the first division possess a high level of social cohesion.
-There is a correlative positive relation between the level of social cohesion of the feminine teams of basketball in Algeria belonging of the first division and the players’ sports level.
-There is a correlative positive relation between the level of the social cohesion of the feminine teams of basketball in Algeria belonging of the first division and the level of interpersonal relation exchanged by the players.
