Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of addiction to Facebook, and the level of psychological rebellion among a sample of bac students in the city of M'sila who use the Facebook website, and also sought to investigate the differences in the aforementioned variables according to the gender variable, and to reveal the nature of the relationship between the level of addiction to Facebook And psychological rebellion, and in order to answer the study questions and test its hypotheses, we used the descriptive analytical approach. The study sample consisted of (30) male and female students who use Facebook. To collect the information, the Facebook Addiction Scale by Boubaya Yamina (2016) and the Psychological Rebellion Scale of Abhar Nasser Al-Khuzaei and Hisham Salem (2013) modified on the local environment were used. The study reached the following results:

The level of addiction to Facebook among a sample of baccalaureate students in the city of M'sila is low.

There are statistically significant differences in the level of addiction to Facebook among the study sample according to the gender variable in favor of females.

There are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological rebellion among the study sample according to the gender variable.

There is no statistically significant relationship between the level of addiction to Facebook and psychological rebellion among the study sample.
