The main objective of this research, which is not a treatise or a philosophy, is to try to explain what sports evaluation covers and what it leads to, and what mechanisms are used for the design of an evaluation tool in basketball and the contribution of field effort tests for monitoring athletes and optimizing performance, illustrated here in the case of basketball.
