Abstract

Educational assessment is a crucial topic in any educational and developmental process, playing a fundamental role in its development. It allows for the identification of strengths and weaknesses in any educational program at various levels and stages. Various educational practices have demonstrated the importance and necessity of this topic for all elements of the educational process, including the teacher, the learner, the curriculum, the objectives, teaching methods, and assessment techniques. (1) Assessment assists the teacher in several aspects, most importantly in enhancing their skills, improving their expertise, preparing and clarifying realistic objectives for each learner, evaluating the degree of achievement of these objectives, and designing the educational technologies used. In today's world, experiencing an era of massive knowledge explosion, the educational system in many countries suffers from significant contradictions and discrepancies that have negatively impacted its effectiveness and efficiency. This has led educational experts to consider restructuring the educational process based on principles and foundations that are more beneficial and effective for the learner and more efficient in terms of time and resources.
