Abstract

Study of the physical workload of a football match. Consequences for physiological evaluation: the case of the Algerian footballer. Mr: BENSALEM Salem, Mohamed Boudiaf University, M'sila, Algeria. Abstract: Objective. - The essential objective of this research is to determine the competitive activity regime of Algerian footballers, as well as the predominant energy processes. Methods and results. The observation method concerning thirty (30) players from the different formations of the first division (Professional Ligue 1) allowed us to highlight the intermittent nature of football where the player unequally alternates active phases and rest time as well as the predominant energy processes in the competitive activity of Algerian footballers which are: aerobic, anaerobic lactic and anaerobic alactic. Conclusion: It can be stated that Algerian footballers exhibit significant passivity and a low capacity for competitive work during a match. These results reflect the limited contribution of anaerobic systems. This opens up a wide field of inquiry to precisely determine the developmental requirements of each metabolic process in football, because in this type of sport, the body's potential for energy production plays a crucial and sometimes decisive role.
