Abstract

In recent years, modern media has contributed to a rapid increase in the dissemination of sports news, information, and facts, explaining the rules and regulations of sports to the public to foster development and awareness. Through these media, a kind of sports culture has grown, particularly in the Arab world, as evidenced by specialized television channels. This is a stark contrast to the past when most television channels focused on political news. Sports media acts as a public school, building bridges of communication between different sports institutions and bringing people closer together by sharing experiences and shaping behavior among young and old alike, in accordance with sound sporting values, customs, and traditions. While there is a noticeable increase in public interest in watching the Olympic Games for entertainment and enjoyment, this can also have a powerful psychological impact, particularly on individuals with special needs. Therefore, Mohamed Hassan Alaoui believes that attitudes towards adapted physical activity among people with disabilities play a significant role in promoting this type of activity and the development of individuals with disabilities. This is achieved through a range of psychological factors related to this group's attitudes towards engaging in adapted physical activity. In this study, we adopted the descriptive approach, as it is suitable for the research topic. The sample consisted of 50 individuals with disabilities distributed across the M'Sila province. A questionnaire developed by the researcher was used as the data collection tool. Keywords: Sports television programs, attitudes, people with disabilities, adapted physical activity.
