One of the most important reasons for measuring attitudes towards physical education is that measuring them allows us to predict the quality of an individual’s behavior in practicing and engaging in sports activities, since attitudes guide an individual’s responses in a way that is almost relatively constant. (Essam El-Din Metwally Abdullah, 2012, page 41) Given the influence of leadership in general, and especially the leadership of school administration on the educational process, which is responsible for the physical education and sports subject and harnessing all material and human means to achieve its educational and pedagogical goals and objectives, and from this standpoint, we have noticed through our meetings in the official examinations for the intermediate and baccalaureate certificates, as well as through the training seminars for the subject’s teachers, the discontent of some colleagues and their dissatisfaction with the view, opinions, and tendencies of their principals towards the physical education and sports subject, and the justification for this is the lack of sports facilities or their lack of preparation for practice, or the lack of allocation of sufficient financial amounts to provide the necessary educational means and tools, or considering it - from their point of view - as a recreational subject and merely a release for students from the burden of studying in classrooms, or not giving moral value to the subject teacher in himself compared to some teachers of basic subjects such as mathematics and physics, for example. All of this may stem from these administrators' lack of understanding of the true concept of the subject, their failure to grasp the ultimate goals and objectives of physical education and sports, or perhaps their marginalization of the physical education teacher due to a lack of awareness of their pivotal role in influencing the behavior and attitudes of some students. Undoubtedly, a successful school administrator has a positive impact on all those working with them—staff, teachers, and students alike. Consequently, their role is crucial in conveying the true meaning of physical education and its importance within the educational system and the learning process as a whole. This must be considered in light of certain variables related to these administrators' attitudes toward physical education, such as their professional experience as administrators, their academic qualifications, their gender, and whether they work at the intermediate or secondary level. Therefore, it was essential to study the attitudes of administrators in intermediate and secondary schools toward physical education and sports.
