Abstract

This study, tagged "A study of the concept of the self in hearing impaired children in light of the regular
practice of adapted physical physical activity", aimed at highlighting the relationship and determining its type between
the variable of the self concept of children with hearing impairment and the regular practice of adapted physical physical
activity. We have used the relational descriptive approach and the application of the self-concept scale prepared by Tasni
and directed to a sample of hearing-impaired children (32 individuals who practice adjusted physical activity on a
regular basis). After statistical processing of the data obtained from the members of the sample, the study yielded the
following results: *There is a statistically significant correlation between the general concept of self in children with
hearing impairment and the regular practice of adapted physical activity. *There is a statistically significant correlation
between the social self dimension of children with hearing impairment and the regular practice of adapted physical and
athletic activity *There is a positive, statistically significant correlation between the personal self-dimension of children
with hearing impairment and the regular practice of adapted physical and athletic activity.
