Abstract

The study aimed to identify the extent of altitude training in the development of some physiological indicators and the explosive strength of the senior basketball players. That is why the researcher conducted a study at the level of the national basketball championship, senior amateurs of the Eastern Group, which includes (240) players for the sports season 2018/2019, where the sample included 20 players from the SAM team, Ain Melilla, who were divided into two groups, an experimental group and a control group, as the researcher approved in this Study on the experimental method. By conducting the pre-test on August 10, 2018, the experimental sample would move to stay and train in Jabal Al-Shilya, in the state of Batna, then the researcher would finish the study by conducting the post-test on August 27, 2018. Through analyzing the results, the researcher concluded that training in the highlands to which the experimental group was subjected was more effective in Development of some physiological indicators and the explosive strength characteristic of the major basketball players in comparison with the results of the control group
