Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the effect of small games on learning some basic handball
skills for first year secondary students. To achieve this, the experimental method was used for its suitability
to this study, and the research sample consisted of (60) students aged (16-17) years, who were distributed
equally between the experimental and control groups. The data were treated statistically using the mean,
standard deviation, correlated samples test(s) and independent samples test(s). One of the most important
results obtained was that the experimental group achieved a remarkable development in all the variables
under consideration, and the small games had an effective and significant role in learning skills, which led
to significant differences between the pre and post tests and in favor of the post tests. This is for the
experimental group compared to the control group
