Study of the behavior of the Algerian individualtowards the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

Background: the study aimed to understand the preventive behavior of the algerian individual and if his behavior before the pandemic COVID-19 differs from his behavior after.

Methods: a survey of a large number of respondents (411 usable questionnaires) was carried out using an approach in terms of results analysis and based on typological analysis in order to emerge types of respondents.

Results: the study revealed three different behaviors towards the pandemic: individuals who have a preventive behavior, individuals who developed a preventive behavior during the pandemic and individuals who did not have a preventive behavior at all.

Conclusions: the COVID-19 pandemic has developed preventive behavior in a large part of the population (around 30%) but remains just as important part (around 28%) who still without preventive behavior.
