Abstract

This studyaimsat the theoretical aspects related to the concept of e-government, throughthisstudy, in which the concept of e-government and its importance and requirements for success in its application werediscussed, throughwhichitwasproventhatgovernments are required to keep pace withdevelopments in information technology and try to use it in providing services to itscitizenswithlessCost and time, by providing the most important requirements for the transition fromtraditionalgovernment to e-government, whichisrepresented in the legal and legislativeenvironment in addition to the regulatoryenvironment as well as providing the so-called infrastructure of digital platforms and applications. Finally, some international experiences of the transition towards e-governmentwerepresented and the position of each country within the e-governmentdevelopment index for the year 2020.
